Making A Purchase Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

We accept most major credit cards. These include Visa and MasterCard. We will require cardholder's full details including name, address and telephone number as registered with the bank. Incorrect information will cause a delay in processing your order. Your order will only be processed once authorisation of your credit card has been properly received. Cheque or postal orders are accepted although we cannot despatch the goods until payment has been cleared which can take at least 14 working days. Ownership and title in the goods will only pass to the customer upon receipt of full payment.

When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

Shipping And Handling Delivery prices quoted are for UK mainland delivery only excluding the Scottish Highlands. We reserve the right not to deliver certain items to certain areas due to their size/delicate nature. Please contact us prior to ordering for more details as an extra delivery charge may occur. If you order from an area which will incur a surcharge we will contact you after you have placed the order to discuss delivery options.

It is the customer's responsibility to sign for all packages as shown on the delivery consignment note. Any missing packages must be noted on the same consignment note before the driver leaves. It will be the customer's responsibility to notify the driver of shortages immediately and Big AV of any shortages within 48 hours of delivery.

Big AV will not accept liability for goods lost in transit unless notified within 5 days from the expected delivery date.

In Stock
If an item is marked as "In Stock" this means to the best of our knowledge the item is either held in stock in our warehouse or in the case of items supplied directly by the manufacturer in stock in their warehouse. Many of our items will be delivered on a next working day service, however delivery times do vary for certain products, if you would like an estimated delivery time before placing an order or following an order please contact us via telephone or email.

Some items marked as "In Stock" such as those supplied by Spectral, are on a manufactured to order basis, in such cases the delivery time will vary, when ordering such an item over the telephone the customer will be advised an estimated delivery time, with website orders you will be contacted shortly afterwards.

All items are subject to availability. Should we discover an item is out of stock the customer will be contacted and advised an estimated delivery time, should the delay be unacceptable the customer will have the option to cancel the order.

Receipt of orders placed online is confirmed by return email. It does not signify that a contract exists between Oakfield Inter-Trade and the customer. Acceptance of an order, and hence the existence of a contact, is confirmed when we send you a VAT receipt.


Our couriers will only deliver goods to ground floor. Please note that we are depending on third party couriers for delivery of your goods. We shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages, charges or expenses caused by any delay in delivering goods if not caused by us. This relates solely to the delivery aspect of providing goods.
Back Orders If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.
Tax Charges For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 17.5% VAT is added.
Credit Card Security Any orders placed at our website will be passed to a third party (Sage Pay or PayPal) who will process your payment information. The third party will encrypt your credit card details using 128 bit encryption. The third party will not use the data for any other purposes than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment. The third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.

BIG AV will not store any customer payment information (card numbers etc.) in anyway whatsoever.
Guarantee The manufacturer guarantees all purchases for a period of 12 months, unless stated, from date of invoice.

The guarantee excludes faults caused by accident, neglect or misuse by the customer. In addition, routine maintenance, consumables, cosmetic damage and tuning of channels is not covered. The full cost of service will be charged if no fault is found with your product. You do have the right to have an independent expert assess your goods if you feel this is necessary.

If goods arrive in a damaged or unsatisfactory condition you must make a note on the couriers delivery consignment note. You don't have to open the item to inspect the goods inside. This applies to visual damage that can be seen on the outside only.

The customer is responsible for returning any goods at their own expense. Damaged or faulty goods on arrival are excluded from this. If your product should fail within this period, our customer services department will arrange for repair by the manufacturer's authorised service agents.

You can cancel your purchase within 7 working days after receipt of the goods provided the product is in a satisfactory condition and all the original contents are enclosed. Returned goods not complying with this will be rejected. Please note that if you cancel an order which has been processed and dispatched, you will be refunded the value of the goods less the return costs. The 7-day period does not start until the day of receipt of the goods by the customer. Monies will only be refunded once we have received the returned goods, this may take up to 14 working days to process.

Big-AV will not accept cancellation of any orders where the item(s) purchased which have been specifically ordered at the request of the customer, or for any items that have been manufactured on a to order basis.

Goods must be returned 'AS SOLD' with the original packaging with all components and accessories.

Goods must be complete and in 'AS NEW' condition (eg if you have opened the box to examine the product it must have been done so where possible without damaging the box and packaging or damaging the product in any way).
Goods must be returned to our Returns Department within 14 days from authorisation. We are unable to accept returns of un-wanted and non-faulty items after the 14 days.

Please note :
This returns policy applies only on sales direct to a consumer and not business to business sales. You must organise the return the unwanted items at your expense and risk. Returns cannot be accepted without prior authorisation and a returns authorisation number. The returns authorisation is valid for up to 14 days only. Goods sent back without prior returns authorisation will be returned back to you and you will be invoiced for the cost of delivery.

Full refund of the cost of the goods is wholly conditional upon the above conditions being met and the refund authorised only after a full inspection of the goods by our Returns department to check for completeness and correct product return.

Goods received back complete as NEW and unused and with original box and packaging including all accessories and in a re-sellable condition: You will be refunded the full invoice amount.

Goods received back complete as NEW and unused and with original box and packaging but with accessories missing: You will be refunded the full Invoice price - less delivery charges and cost of accessories. The amount deducted from your refund for missing accessories will be determined based on our cost to replace said accessories, but will be no more than the total cost of the product.

Goods received back in a damaged/not re-sellable condition: We are unable to accept these back under the above terms and the goods will be returned back to you and you will be invoiced for the cost of delivery.
We will never try to recover delivery costs on any item returned under the terms of our returns policy. We will however, for any item that is returned, that was delivered with an install service, deduct the installation cost from your refund, this is usually between £30 and £70. This still applies to items where the install service is included in the total price on our website (free delivery) items. An installation service in this case refers to any delivery where the agent is contracted to bring the item into a room inside of your house, this includes but is not limited to; Spectral white glove delivery, BDI 2 man delivery, Alphason Studio white glove and Salamander designs deliveries.
