Many HiFi enthusiasts wouldnt consider putting their valuable equipment within an enclosed cabinet, as heat build up in an enclosed space can lead to overheating. BDI have combated this problem with effective flow through ventilation, the cabinet is raised from the floor allowing cool air to travel up through the vented base through the shelving and then carry warm out from the rear of the unit.
The Avion 8925 is the only model in the current Avion series II range with tapered corners, allowing it to be placed into the corner of a room, as well as the traditional flat against a wall setup. Many people would want to put their equipment inside a cabinet, to keep it away from inquisitive pets or children but may be concerned with the operation of remote controls, this is not a problem with the BSI Avion 8925 as the cabinet doors feature IR friendly glass allowing the remote control to beam through directly into the cabinet even with the doors closed.
The stand also has castors concealed under the frame, and a removable back panel, meaning if you ever need access to the rear to add more equipment or to adjust the cabling you can simply pull the unit out take off the panel, and it is easy access. BDI have even made provisions for uneven floor surfaces, as the stand has inbuilt floor levellers, meaning whatever the surface it will be sat rock steady.
