The BDI Avion 8928 finished in Chocolate stained Walnut is a beautiful tall TV cabinet designed with your home theatre equipment in mind. Appearances can be deceptive, and it is certainly a lot more than just the modernised styling that separates this unit from traditional wood sideboards. BDI incorporate a number of performance features in to all their cabinets, but the Avion series is particularly feature rich. The top compartment comes as standard with a glass insert to match the lower section, but you also have the option to replace this with a specially designed speaker cloth to allow you to hide your centre speaker or speaker bar in there without affecting the functionality.
We know from our experience that a lot of customers want to hide their equipment within an enclosed cabinet, but two deciding factors prevent them, the overheating issue, and the remote controls. BDI have overcome both these problems with the intelligent design in the Avion models. All compartments use an Infrared friendly glass to allow all your equipment to be used to its full potential even behind closed doors. BDI have also incorporated flow through ventilation into this cabinet to allow maximum airflow even with the doors shut.
The lower section on the cabinet allows plenty of room for four full size AV components in the traditional horizontal position, and also a central space for a vertical standing component such as the PS3, of course this could also be used for media storage. The top section has space for a centre speaker, with media storage as well, or can be used for another 2 AV components. The stand has hidden wheels for ease of movement, and integrated floor levellers so it can even be used on an uneven surface. This can also be used with the BDI arena mount.
